Membership
Members of the American Academy of Family Physicians who are located in Hawai ‘i can be members of the HAFP. For those members who are new to the state, please change your location on the AAFP member profile in order for our Executive Director to be notified of your move to Hawai’i. Once the Executive Director is notified of your membership in the chapter you should be included in all chapter communications. If not, please email executivedirector@HAFP.info.
Leadership Opportunities
HAFP Board of Directors & AAFP Congress of Delegates Representatives
The HAFP annually solicits the entire membership for a call for nominations for the HAFP Board of Directors and for Delegates to the AAFP Congress of Delegates sometime in the late Fall. Be on the lookout for an email from the Executive Director!
AAFP National Conference of Constituency Leaders (NCCL)
The AAFP’s NCCL is held annually and the HAFP supports HAFP members to attend the conference representing the following constituency groups:
- Women
- Minorities
- New physicians (in the first seven years of practice following residency)
- International medical graduates (IMG), from schools outside the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico
- LGBTQ+ physicians or physician allies
The Executive Director will send out an email regarding a call for nominations for each of the respective constituency groups sometime in the late Fall.
HAFP Committees
The HAFP has numerous standing committees as well as ad hoc committees. If you are interested in serving on a committee please email president@HAFP.info. The current list of HAFP committees is as follows:
